Miami web design - professional graphic designs

Web Design

Every business these days should have a web site to promote their products and services from, regardless of the niche they operate in. A well designed site can quickly pay for itself in new orders. Yet there are still lots of firms around that don't have one. This is a huge mistake.

More and more people turn to the internet every day to find local business services. A few years ago we all turned to the Yellow Pages when we needed to find a local tradesman, but these days, this traditional medium is being rapidly replaced by the internet.

Getting a web site for your business does not have to be a huge expense. For as little as a few hundred pounds you can get a simple site that will be more than adequate for your needs.

You do not need a lot of functionality, a simple static site in most cases will suffice for a small business. You don't need lots of moving graphics, and in most cases you don't even need to be able to take payments.

For most small businesses, the primary purpose of a web site is to generate leads rather than sales. Once you have the lead's contact details, you can sell them your service later.

Your new web site should firstly give your business an online presence so that people can find you. Simply publishing a web site is not enough, it needs to be optimized for the keywords your prospects type in to the search engines. When selecting a web design service, you need to ensure they fully understand the importance of search engine optimization (SEO). If they don't, look elsewhere. There is no point having a web site that no one can find.

Once found, your site has to give your visitor a strong reason to contact you or to give you their contact details so that you can contact them. You have to make them an offer they cannot refuse. Promote a special offer that is only available for a limited time, or offer a free eBook that will provide them valuable information in return for their email address. Once you have a lead's details, you have the opportunity to present your offer to them again, and tests show that the more someone is exposed to an offer, the more likely they are to take it up.

Finally, your small business web design should include client testimonials for credibility and a strong guarantee to remove the risk from your prospects minds. These elements will increase the contact rates you make with your prospects, and ultimately the number of sales your site generates.

The concept of service design is quite a simple one; it is all about creating a competitive and enriched consumer experience by providing maximum user benefits and also creating an educated link between service and technology. This is relatively new concept but a fast and emerging one as many enterprises have come to realize of the manifold benefits it can have on the business.

All business are involved in providing some sort of service or the other to customers and hence can benefit from the service discipline. There is such a wide array of services available these days and the best thing about the service design concept is that it can be incorporated into any sector at any level for a smooth and easy transition. All kinds of service providers from small scale retailers to giant corporations have now turned to this discipline to promote user experience at all levels especially those which involve advanced digital technology like banking services, telecommunication networks, insurance and health service providers.

Gone are the days of manual record keeping or data entry; digital interfaces have now made life easy for the common man. Service design is vastly responsible for this smooth transition from manual to automated for both the customer as well as the employees. A service design agency's main job is to understand the requirements of the service provider and the kind of change that has to be incorporated or the new services that has to be added to the existing portfolio. The team first makes detailed observations of the existing set-up to understand how the new service or change can be seamlessly incorporated. Then a detailed plan about the new service is prepared and handed to the provider for approval. Once approved, the plan has to be put in place and the new service gets incorporated in a smooth transition for the client and the provider.

For example; if a restaurant wants to go in for a new menu, the service design team will first study in detail the kind of food the restaurant specializes in. Next, the kind of clients who visit the place regularly, crowd favorites and also the kind of service provided is observed carefully. Then, the new menu is suggested taking it both the clients as well as the chef's recommendations so that the best of the old and the new get incorporated in the new one. This ensures that though the customers will take notice of the new and revamped menu, they will not miss their favorites and will also find it easy and exciting to try out the new changes.

The service design team conducts detailed analysis of the existing service and the way it is used by clients; only then, will the team be able to make the necessary changes or incorporate the new service effortlessly. Another big advantage of using this concept is that the enterprise or organization can function smoothly without any hitches while the new service is being put in place. This ensures that both the employees and the clients are not put through any difficulty and the resulting product is delivered to the customer in a smooth transition.

Web Design

Whether your website is intended for e-commerce or as a promotional site for your business, a good web design is one that is user-centered. For this reason, even before you sit down to plan your web design, you must first identify the kind of users you will have. Know and understand what they want from your website so that you will be able to customize your design for them.

Planning your web design

After identifying the purpose of your website and the specific audience you are targeting, you can now begin to create a rough sketch of the structure of your design to include layout and content. A good idea in planning is the use of wireframes. These allow you to include all the items you want to put into your design. Made of labeled boxes, a wireframe is easy to correct, adjust, rearrange or change. Creating a web design involves a lot of revisions during the design process itself and the testing period. The wireframe also allows some kind of flexibility where changes are necessary.

Preparing your website layout

With your users in mind, keep your layout simple, pleasing to the eyes, readable, accessible and usable.

The simpler a website is, the more user-friendly it is. Complex navigational links only confuse users since most of them only want to click buttons and mouses and sometimes type on keyboards.

The right font size and type makes it easy for visitors look for the information they need. Font size and type should be consistently used throughout the website for uniformity. Unless your website is a fancy one, try to use professional looking font types like Arial, Verdana or Sans-serif. Provide proper spacing between lines to project a semblance of orderliness.

Pleasing every user with the right colors is next to impossible, but you can never go wrong with neutral colors and earth tones with a dash of contrasting shades. For instance, darker shades do make a good contrast with lighter backgrounds and vice versa.

Choosing your graphic design

The graphics of a website enhances its aesthetic appearance that can boost the reputation of the business. It is an effective tool in emphasizing logos and promoting brand name. Graphics encompasses layout and typography by combining colors, text and images to produce a pleasing result. Depending on the purpose of the website, however, graphical enhancements must be used in moderation because some graphics tend to distract users. For instance, too much animation, excessively bold colors or flashing objects may cause users to click away to other sites.

Creating content

Relevant and fresh information is what users are looking for. Learning and understanding what users need and what it takes to satisfy these needs will help you create quality content. When written interestingly, content helps establish credibility. Give more emphasis to the benefits that users get from your product and your website rather than delve on the features. Provide unique write-ups for your product to make you stand out among your competitors.

Content should be located in the right places. It must be equally distributed to all the web pages. Avoid concentrating content in one page as this may bore users. Marketing pitches or calls to action should be positioned in conspicuous places, not in obscure corners.

Testing your new web design

Ask a number of prospective users, friends and colleagues in the industry to test the accessibility and usability of your new design. Sit down with them as they test your design from different computers and browsers to determine what is lacking and what should be improved. Conduct more tests, and some more tests until your website runs perfectly.

Miami web design - the lowest price for the best design

Web Design

Being a web designer can mean you have multiple projects to work on at the same time. You've got files cluttered everywhere, loads of designs opened in different applications and 5 clients talking to you at once about their problems or needs for a project. Here's how to get yourself organised and make your business work in an efficient way.

Sort Yourself Out

First of all, get files organised if you don't have already, it not only slows your system down but your way of approaching tasks as well. Have a separate folder for each project and have subfolders too so you know where everything is and you can easily get to what you're looking for whether it's a logo, PHP file or something else.

Secondly, and this is quite important, managed your time effectively! What I do sometimes is have 25 minute shots at particular things I need to get done, have a 5 minute break and have another 25 minute shot at something focusing one that one task only. If you work using an hourly rate, use a good timing program that helps you manage every second and every minute which have notes attached explaining what should have been done.

Distractions

I don't know how many designers will agree with me on this, but I think it can be very easy for someone to get distracted from what they're doing. I'm not going to lie I do myself, so clear your mind and take note of what distracts you from your work. Deactivate your Facebook if you use that because I know people who go onto the website, scroll down to the bottom of the news and two minutes later they're doing the same thing again! Think about it, it's like jail; all you do is write on walls, do nothing and get poked by people you don't know am I not right? Which is why I don't bother using the site unless I'm updating my business Pages.

What else do you get distracted by, we all love music don't we? Well I usually get distracted by listening to songs whereas some people don't. I don't know if you've heard of something called binaural beats, but this is something I've come across quite a while ago and I now use them on a regular base. I do get tempted to listen to my personal favourites but binaural beats is a different issue. These are specially produced sounds of certain frequencies on the left and right speakers which alter your mind state in so many different ways and this why it's convenient to use headphones when listening to them otherwise they don't usually work. Most of them help calm you down and clear your mind and there are binaural beats for just about everything including creativity, focus, energy, sleep, the list goes on and they really do work! Something you should definitely do some research on.

One Problem at a Time

If you're not a woman, don't bother multi-tasking, because as a man I can genuinely say it does not work for me, there's been times where I've had to work on 5 different projects at the same time with all the clients asking me on the updates, it's crazy and it just makes things harder. Prioritise what needs to be done so you can get one thing done at a time. Don't lie to your clients, work on one task first for a certain period of time, update that client and do some work on the next one. Usually it's not good having to do more than around 2 projects at the same time because things can get really complicated, which is why I prefer working on one large project rather than a good couple of smaller ones. I can put more effort and dedication into one then having to switch projects every couple of hours.

Just like I am doing now, I have to write this article and focus on this only without being distracted, I will then set some time to have a break, check my emails and updating my Twitter etc... Then I will move onto my next task, and it can be very easy to forget what I'm trying to explain as well so it takes a little time to get used to it then you'll be working more efficiently without even realising. I'm always looking at new ways to improve the way I work, the quality of work and the tools that help me work. Don't over-complicate situations, take a look at how you're running you're business at the moment, see what you can do to make everything more efficient and work better. Better work means a bigger cash flow and you should be taking every step to take your services to the next level.

What is a static website?

Static websites differ to those that are dynamic, and although it may not be entirely obvious if a website is static at first, there are subtle differences that you will notice that will give them away. For instance, static websites tend to be very simplistic in nature without any advanced features or assets. They aren't designed to be updated frequently because to change the website requires the knowledge of a skilled website developer. As such, you will notice that the content tends to stay the same without much variance at all. In the main the website will be brochure-like in nature and give basic information, like contact details etc - details that are unlikely to change frequently. Although they are expensive to update, they are quite cheap to create and so they are popular with smaller firms that have a smaller budget.

Static websites - The pros

The benefits of static websites are that they are cheap to produce and don't take very long to develop either. Hosting the site is relatively in expensive too.

Static websites - The cons

Static websites take a great deal of expertise to update and manage, and so they can't be updated regularly without having to spend a fair bit. Because of this, the content can become quite stale, which is fine if the website is only to provide a list of services and contact details, but not so great if you are a company that is constantly changing and whose business depends on informing customers of these changes.

Dynamic sites can be costly to create and set up, but then they can be updated and amended as often as is seen fit by the site's owner. Updating the site doesn't take a great deal of skill or effort and so the aspects of the site can be as imaginative and creative as possible. For an ever-changing business, it is possible to update the customers about any relevant news and developments. The site can be developed so that it works for you. It can be built with a content managements system so that updates can be added automatically and so that customers can post their own information as and when they want, which is known as dynamic publishing.

Dynamic websites - The pros

The benefits of creating a dynamic website are obvious. For larger firms that can afford them, they can reap the rewards of repeat custom by having an ever-changing website with content that is regularly updated to remain fresh and interesting for the viewer or reader. Being able to share information through the site is also important from both the customer's and the business' perspective because having this capability encourages communication and increases engagement. Content management systems can help staff manage the content more accurately too in a way that works for them and reduces the amount of effort needed on their part.

Dynamic websites - The cons

Dynamic websites do take quite some time to set up and can cost quite a bit as well. The potential they can have for a business can be quite substantial though, and so the initial outlay should really be given some consideration before it is dismissed in favour of static websites.

Overview

Increasingly, dynamic websites are chosen in favour of static websites because of the capabilities they afford a business. Although they cost a lot, the business they can generate will justify a dynamic website, but of course the outlay has to be there in the first place and for some smaller businesses dynamic websites are not an option. Weighing up the pros and cons is really the only way to make a decision.

Miami web design team - we make it work

Miami Web Design

As the online environment becomes more and more competitive there is the tendency to shop around and go with the cheapest quote that is given. It is so easy to get five to ten quotes when looking for a product or service and there are companies out there willing to reduce their own margins just to land the job.

This is a bonus for the consumer but can lead to problems later on as the job progresses. Following is a list of issues that you should be aware of when it comes to buying from the cheapest supplier.

1) Possibly the worst thing about working with a cheap supplier is that any variation in the project will be costed out and not necessarily at such a cheap rate. Once you do commit to a company and they commence working for you any variation that you will want to make in the future will be charged at a higher rate. Once they have your commitment it is very hard to switch suppliers. This being the case you might end up paying more for the project.

2) Cheap providers may be happy to get you on board but after a while this attitude may change very quickly when they realise that they have under quoted for the job. You may find emails or phone calls not returned and your job will not be a priority. Deadlines may be missed which could have other flow on effects.

3) Quality of work is always an issue when it comes to dealing with cheap suppliers. In order to make the job worth while and profitable corners may be cut and this will result in a job that has little or no quality control. There is not much you can do about this except be very vigilant over the life of the project and really try to manage the whole process. This may mitigate any issues that may arise further down the track.

4 ) You really end up paying for what you get. If price is an issue and you are happy to endure poor service and performance then this option could be a viable alternative for you. But, if you do not want to spend all your time project managing these people then you may want to shop around a bit more and engage the services of a company that is a bit more expensive but will deliver a more superior product.

Web Design

When choosing a web development service provider, quality is one factor to consider. If this is your first time hiring a company, there is a chance that you might not distinguish a quality portfolio. There are actually several ways to do so. Once you have mastered them, it will be easy for you to spot a good web design and you can also apply when designing a website.

When searching for a good design, pay attention to smart spacing. This can make a difference to its overall appearance. Sometimes looking at it in a big picture can determine how you will space the web elements. Some designers make a mistake on this aspect. They put content close to the edge. Cramming will lose the quality of the design. The amount of spacing can vary and it will take training to effectively fit images and content on a web page.

One can see if a company put an effort in the project. Sometimes the littlest things that can make a huge difference however not all might notice them. Ideally you choose pay attention to lines and borders. Sometimes adding 1pixel shadow can make the design standout. When looking at a website, you find an in depth structure that can make an impression.

Of course the content is not a problem of the designer. Although this is the case, this aspect play a role on the overall quality of the website. Their job is to make sure that it is displayed correctly and can easily be read. There are ways to achieve this. It is a matter of choosing the right font. Look also into how the paragraph is divided.

The design of the website could be more appealing if there is a creative factor involved. Consider the organization of elements even if it sounds boring. The way things are organized is dependent on the type of website it is. Make sure that important features are highlighted. The trick to become successful is to assess what you want to achieve from the design. It could be for information or getting sales.

A good web designer is finding ways to deliver an impact using his or her works. They can do this by adding special effects. Sometimes there are people who overdo it. A good designer will know if the design is too much or too little. Remember don't just a web design based on colors alone. Colors can revolve around a theme and could create a mood of the website.

Web Design

We all know how important it is for a business to have a nice looking website. Nowadays most of us even understand the need for a high Google ranking. But very few of us understand how to utilize the design of your website to increase Google ranking and the effectiveness of your site. This is why it is important to use an experienced web design company.

For many of us choosing a domain name and webhosting is a complicated enough task. To create a website which fills users with confidence rather than doubt, there are a number of important things to consider. Target audience, SEO, keyword optimization, web standards, social media, and clean code are all important elements. It can be a daunting task for an untrained designer. A good web design company will be able to help you incorporate all these aspects.

A good company knows that web standards are about more than meeting the minimum requirements set out by the World Wide Web Consortium. Web standards are about clean code, reliable software, accessibility and creating a site that will run glitch free from upload until easy to update and manipulate.

A web design company can create a site which is not only easy for users to navigate but will run in all browsers. A website that freezes in the browser they use does not fill users with confidence. A company can provide a site that is compatible with all the major internet browsers.

A website with amazing visual design but listed on the 10th page of a Google search will not generate a great deal of traffic as people rarely stray past the second page of a search listing. A good search ranking needs a solid SEO foundation, created from the beginning of the design process. A web design company will use key word optimization, CSS navigation and cascading style sheets and ALT tags, all of which will work to improve rankings.

A good website should utilize other forms of social media to draw traffic. Social media is internet technologies which connect with audiences and draw them into an ongoing conversation, such as Facebook, blogs, Twitter, etc. Social media helps to create a network of internet sites where users can access information on your business and add their own content.

It is about establishing an ongoing relationship with users through other sites on the internet. A Web Design Company will help to link your website other social media sites. A company can assess which social media is appropriate for your specific targeted audiences and the purpose of your website.

If you are serious about creating a quality website it is important to use a web design company. A good web design company will provide your business with a site using clean code, meeting the web standards and help you to utilize social media.

Miami web design - Improve your online reputation

Web Design

Building a site with a website creator is fun and easy to do. It takes very little time and effort to build a website in this manner. However, there are some pitfalls that are easy to fall into when you use a website creator. This is because they are so easy to use it can be difficult to remember that your site needs to be professional and unique, as well as easy to navigate. Here are the top five website creator mistakes that you should avoid at all costs.

1. Not making the site unique. A website builder offers hundreds of templates for you to choose from. Unfortunately, these same templates are being used by thousands of people every day. In order to keep your site professional and unique, you need to change the template slightly. Choose a different color scheme. If possible, make a unique color scheme by choosing individual colors for your font and backgrounds. This way your site is somewhat unique from the thousands of others using the templates.

2. Not using keyword rich titles for your pages. Some site builders will automatically name a page "Page 2" or something similar. Other website creators name the page after the heading you put in the title. The name or title of the page in the navigational tools and buttons should be keyword rich and descriptive. This is necessary both for your site to be professional as well as for your site to be found in search engines.

3. Not changing graphics. You might choose a template that you like because the graphics match your business or website goals. However, this is detrimental to the professionalism of your site because thousands of other people will have the same graphic. Instead, change the graphics in the template to original graphics that you create yourself or purchase from the internet. This way your site is professional and unique. Title the graphics with keywords to further optimize your site for search engines.

4. Not giving enough information. It is easy to build a website with a website creator in a matter of minutes, but you won't be providing much information in the process. Information is important to keep your visitors long enough to buy something from your site. Keyword rich content is also important for getting higher placement in the search engines.

5. Not keeping it simple. Too many graphics, colors in the fonts, hard to read font styles, and similar design mistakes are not as easy to make when you use a site builder, but they still crop up. You want your site to look cool, but you also want to make sure that the design doesn't take away from the goal of the website. If something is too flashy, many visitors will not stick around long enough to buy something.

Miami Web Design

The internet sector is growing every day, as more people are looking to take advantage of its power. With the internet, you are able to reach out to more people than ever before, beating practically any other method that is available. This is why more and more people are creating their own websites.

There are all sorts of reasons for creating your own website; it could be to do with retail such as selling a product, offering a service or advertising a shop. On the other hand, you may wish to purely offer your thoughts and opinions on life and become a blogger. When coming to design your own website, it is important to keep in mind the specific purpose of the site.

However, there are aspects and features that will apply to every website:

• Navigation - One of the most important features of a website is the ease of navigation. People must be able to wander through your website without difficulty and to be able to find exactly what they're looking for. If it becomes tricky finding something, they may choose to stop visiting your site. A search bar can be particularly helpful for navigation.

• Appearance - Another important aspect to a website is its appearance. It is always nice for visitors, if the site is aesthetically pleasing. This can vary from the colour combination that you have decided to go for, to images dotted around various webpages, so people are not overloaded with just text.

• Interaction - Depending on your website, it is always good to engage your visitors. For example, this can be done through comments sections, where visitors are able to offer their views on your posts or products. This also allows you to receive some feedback on the website and gain ideas on how to improve it. Another idea is through setting up various polls, where you offer a question and a few answers to pick from. Through interaction, it is possible to create a bond with your visitor and hopefully this will encourage them to return regularly.

• Content - One of the most important aspects of a website is the amount of quality content that is on there. Like with any website, the content has to be interesting and is the feature which will keep people coming to the site on a regular basis. In addition, there should be a balance so the site does not include too little or too much information.

When designing your own website, it is vital that you keep these four features in the back of your mind at all times. In addition, you may wish to look at your competitors for ideas and examples. With this basis to work from, your website stands a good chance of being successful.

Miami web design - Great ideas for your business

Web Design

An uneducated customer can be problematic for a website designer when they do not understand the scope of a website project. There are so many unspoken assumptions made by a customer that it is every website professionals to make clear at the beginning. Here are some of the biggest issues that I see and have learnt from down through the years.

Editable Site

This is probably number one issue that can come back and bite you. Even though you have have a superb looking site and have spent many hours designing and making changes to the site the customer at the end of all this work may have assumed that they themselves will be able to edit the site themselves. This is of course possible if they are php/html literate but this is the rare exception rather than the rule.

Up front the question should be asked Number One In Google - will you want to edit the site. An even clearer question if this is Yes is Who will be editing the site as again if the person is not technically literate they may assume that you will do it for them or that they will overnight develop a skill set that they never had before.

Number One In Google

This is where I have to make my deep sigh. It is rare that a customer thinks that they won't immediately be ranking in the top 3 search results. Unless they are the only person with this business in the world this is of course impossible. But you should state this clearly and repeatedly that they will not rank unless they invest time and effort in developing a keyword strategy and a link building strategy. This should be repeated several times during the project. It will cost them time and money to achieve these specific goals. It is even worth spending the time explaining the basics behind Google Keywords and some simple overview of the basics of search.

Add Features - ECommerce

"Can I add ecommerce to the site later?"

Feature sets like ecommerce, forums, galleries do not come out of thin air and if you have a design approach it can be difficult to hear this late in a project. Again it is as simple as sitting down with the customer and understanding their technical level of expertise and if they have a short, medium and long term view of the features they want on the site.

Walk In their Shoes

Ultimately it is important to walk in the customers shoes. The majority of my customers rarely use a PC and would probably be shocked at the amount of time I have a browser open in a given day. You need to literally walk in their shoes and understand their lives and needs from the web. Their goals may be simply stated but be complex in their need. Every day they are hearing of world domination achieved by new startups and think this can be achieved for a modest investment. You need to be as much and educator as a designer for them in this case

The movie Fast Five just recently hit the theaters, and it's one of the most successful films of the franchise.

Why am I talking about a Vin Diesel movie? You'll find out soon enough.

Speed is the name of the game. Even on the internet, internet users and website visitors want to get things done quickly, and the only way to do that is if websites load quickly and fast. As a web designer, it's important for you to learn to develop fast loading websites. If you're developing websites for your own use, a website that loads fast means increased traffic and productivity. If you're a developer for a client, then they'd definitely favor your services over other web designers who's websites load slower than molasses could walk.

Here are some tips on how to optimize your websites to load faster:

Minimal use of Flash, graphics
Flash effects and graphics are nice, but they slow down your websites to a crawl, especially for people on dial-up or slower internet connections. If you can, try to minimize the amount of graphics on your website. It's the content that matters anyway, unless it's a photography website.

Optimize your HTML code
Broken links and unwanted tags bog down websites that are otherwise efficient and fast. As a web designer, it's your job to make sure your codes are written efficiently and working the way they should. Maintain your websites at least once a month to make sure there are no broken links in any of the pages.

Use simpler designs
Don't believe what your 60-year-old computer science professor tells you - if something is simpler, the better, and the same is true for web design. The fastest loading websites stick to designs that are simple and efficient, usually a white background. Look at Facebook, Yahoo, Google, etc. With less effects on the monitor, the less stuff there is to load on the screen, and the content is easier on the eyes.

Try to use the entire cover area
Maximizing the content area helps websites load quickly and enhance readability. Two birds with one stone.

Follow these simple tips and you should have a fast loading website in no time. If your websites load quickly, you'll keep your visitors glued to the screen and not looking at other websites that might steal their attention from yours. Design your websites to be fast and furious.

Miami web design - Let the internet work for you

Miami Web Design

Some tips to attain the above are mentioned below:

• Look through the feedbacks and comments left for the service provider by their previous clients, as these help in selecting designers and companies by informing us of companies which are not trustworthy.

But every service comes with a price, so search the internet for assessment of the rates and also for examples of websites developed by them. Also consider that a good website design is your ultimate aim, not a cheap one with low quality.

• In order to prevent fraud, do a background check on the internet about the company or individual being hired.

• Checking the portfolios on the internet is another useful way of selecting the correct designer. The names of the websites developed are mentioned in the portfolios. The proficiency and creativity can be assessed by seeking a sample of their work.

Miami web design - The best way to get on top

Web Design

There are two sources of the traffic to any website; one is through the search engines and the other is without any use of search engines. Studies have revealed that the search engines account for the generation of 80% of the traffic to the websites. If the website is ranked high on the website, it is going to receive a lot of traffic, conversely poor ranking could adversely affect the traffic and the number of clicks on that website could be comparatively very less.

The ranking of any Website URL on the search engine list depends on the algorithm. Usually the search engines do not declare the details of the algorithms and the factors that affect the ranking. Most of the factors that affect the listing are now known because of the trial and error method used by the designers.

Among all the factors affecting the listing, the ability of the spider of the search engine to easily maneuver or traverse through the website is a prime consideration.

The spiders of the search engine consider the text on the web page but never consider the Java Script. Now if a designer has used a lot of Java Script to enhance the looks of the website, it may hardly have the desired effect on the search engine.

An alt tag that describes the image and is readable by the spider should accompany the image, because the writing in the images cannot be read by the spiders. If possible key words should be inserted in the alt tag.

If you want the spider of the search engine to rank the website higher then you need to make its work easy and this is possible by using valid CSS and XHTML codes. If the code is valid it ensures that the website is going to get uniform response from various browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Netscape. If the designer wants the best of results then one should use products like Dreamweaver from Macromedia or even hand coding. Invalid coding is usually possible when the designer used word processors and programs that are not designed for designing the website.
